Pre-breakfast Half-Marathon

Finally managed the motivation to get out of bed early on a Sunday for a long run.

7am out the house running in a fasted state.

Target was a 20km run which would have been a new distance record anyway.

Also a new PB for 15km and 10 miles of 1:17:30 and 1:23:13 respectively.

First half-marathon time of 1:48:33.

Took a 500ml bidon of water and an orange Clif Shot Blok.

Ran to feel not really checking watch for HR or pace.

Walked after 13km for a little whilst taking on water and a couple of Shot Bloks.

Took a detour round Fairlands Valley Park to add a couple of km to my normal 17km route.

Still felt fine as approached Chez Brocks, so cut through the woods and up to Serpentine Park, then realised I was far from a half-marathon so looped until was happy I’d have the full distance and headed home.

In-depth TrainingPeaks analysis.
