Brick session: Bike – Run

Home for the day due to our childminder being ill. Dropped Alex off at mini-makers the pre-school.

Reckoned I had time for a ride, got back about 10mins ahead of schedule so fitted in a crafty run to make a brick.

Bike

Having had my bike fit on Saturday was itching to get out on my bike. Went for the full-on TT position including the climbs.

Was damn cold, by the time I was back in Stevenage my fingers were so cold I could hardly feel the shifters, apart from that, felt like a good ride.

Run

Hadn’t originally intended to go for a run, so was wearing bib shorts rather than a trisuit. Still kept under 5min/km (8min/m) pretty happy with that.

Calves were tight coming off the bike and could definitely feel my quads but settled down and didn’t get as far as feeling like they would cramp.
