Ridlins session 2x 4 by 400m relay

Having already done a 10km run at lunch with Tony and Mark I still managed to motivate myself to get out and cycle to Ridlins for my athletics track session.

Session included normal warmup and sets, followed by a 400m relay with 3 participants 4 reps, then a 5min rest, then another 4 x 400m relay.

Cycle there pretty much hammered it, new wheels and tyres on the bike, certainly didn’t get any drifting round the roundabouts like last time in the wet.

Main set felt like I blew it on the first rep, as the subsequent reps felt a lot slower, but looking at the graphs afterwards, seem reasonable.

Really starting to hurt in the second set but managed to push through to the end.

Cycle home, felt fine as I left the track, but after the second roundabout started to feel a cramp starting in my right calf. I’d but my SaltTab dispenser on the tribars, so took one. Near the top of the hill of Gresley Way my right calf cramped, tried to one leg cycle most of the rest of the way. Didn’t come to a full on seizure cramp, but was pretty painful most of the rest of the ride.
