Standalone 10k

Bit foggy and cold start.

Got caught up in quite a bit of congestion at the start and for the first couple of kms. Took about 1 1/2 mins to actually cross the start line.

7km onwards really started to thin out a bit.

Tried to keep heart rate in zone 4.5 or lower (apart from hills) until 5km mark, after that crept up.

At first, looking splits, I thought I hadn’t managed a negative split, as I had hoped to pull off, but looking at the the GAP times it looks a bit better.

Even without GAP the raw times for the second 5km is faster that the first 5km.

Bit of a sprint for the finish, but didn’t realise that the finish wasn’t in the same place as the start, but still managed a reasonable sprint to the end.
